“Going Green”

The Talmud calls the holiday of Tu B’shvat the “new year for the trees”.  Trees, of course, don’t need a holiday, but now more than ever we humans need to take time to think about our relationship to the wondrous yet fragile natural world we inhabit.  This year we will celebrate the holiday with a Shabbat program in which we look at Jewish teachings about the environment and eat foods associated with Tu B'shvat.
