ANCIENT TEACHINGS, MODERN LESSONS
Among the richest pieces of Jewish culture are our classical texts. This includes not only the Torah, but later books of the Hebrew Bible, Midrash, Mishnah, Talmud, and liturgical compositions. Within Humanistic Judaism, we do not study and learn from those texts using traditional lenses. However, we can still appreciate their impact on Jewish culture and use them as vehicles for reflecting upon our own lives and contemporary world. Join us as together we discuss some of these extraordinary works and occasionally some contemporary texts, too. No prior background is necessary. All are welcome.
NOTE: No pre-registration is required (but feel free to let us know you plan to attend); just use this Zoom link on Saturday morning to join in:
